About the role#
GE Vernova is hiring an Energy Optimization Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. This full-time position is based in Bellevue, Washington. You will join the Grid Software Solutions team to work on technical challenges within Wholesale Energy Markets.
What you'll do#
- Solve complex problems related to Wholesale Energy Markets.
- Gain hands-on experience with digital technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on projects with real-world implications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master or PhD program.
- Academic focus in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site in Bellevue, WA.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Hands-on coding experience.
- Prior experience in software, electrical engineering, power systems, or research.
- Background in optimization or power systems.
- Familiarity with machine learning, deep learning, GPU applications, or quantum computing.
- Experience with artificial intelligence and conversational AI technologies.
- Analytical and technical skills with clear communication abilities.
- A commitment to a career in technology and proactive learning habits.
