    About the role#

    This internship focuses on licensing activities for the current fleet of boiling water reactor nuclear plants in the United States. You will work with the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy team to support regulatory compliance and strategic planning for reactor performance.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop strategic plans to implement power uprates for the global installed base of boiling water reactor plants.
    • Review, interpret, and implement new nuclear regulations and guidance into existing procedures and processes.
    • Gain familiarity with licensing methodologies and identify opportunities for improvement.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a degree in Environmental Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Law, or a similar field.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.
    • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro is preferred.

    • Location: Wilmington, North Carolina.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (May 2027 to August 2027).
    • Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position.
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship.
