About the role#
This internship with the Aero New Units Commercial Operations team focuses on the proposal development process for Aeroderivative gas turbines. You will work through the full sales cycle, from initial proposal stages to contract signature and handover. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and business, offering experience in process management within the power generation sector.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily operations for the Aeroderivative New Unit gas turbine proposal development process.
- Create and maintain commercial dashboards, sales forecasts, and performance metrics to track project status and revenue targets.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including engineering, finance, and supply chain to streamline bid and quoting procedures.
- Identify bottlenecks in commercial processes and support initiatives to improve throughput using Lean tools.
- Participate in commercial meetings and assist with the implementation of process improvements, such as standard work development and process mapping.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Strong financial management skills alongside interpersonal and team building abilities.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- A clear interest in sales or commercial leadership.
- Ability to work in the United States for an unlimited duration without sponsorship.
