About the role#
Trane Technologies offers a 12-week summer internship program for students interested in construction project management. This role provides hands-on experience in building efficiency and sustainability. You will work alongside a project manager to execute project objectives within set time frames and resource constraints. This internship is full-time and available for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Plan and coordinate assigned projects, including establishing schedules, project parameters, and operational procedures.
- Work with the engineering team to support programming and material selection.
- Monitor project budgets by tracking forecasted costs and managing expenses.
- Assist in preparing requests for quotations for subcontractors and verify the resulting proposals.
- Communicate with contractors and owners regarding project scope, performance, budgets, and close-out requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
- Completion of at least the sophomore year of study before the start of the internship.
- Knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
- A valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with a clean driving record.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
