About the role#
The Golf Course Maintenance Operations Internship Program provides students with hands-on experience in golf course operations, agronomic management, and professional tournament preparation. This role is designed to help you build the skills necessary to pursue a career as an Assistant Golf Superintendent.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Golf Course Maintenance Operations department with daily tasks.
- Learn to manage agronomic plans and prepare courses for tournament play.
- Develop technical skills for maintaining both tournament and non-tournament playing conditions.
- Operate and maintain the equipment used in golf course maintenance.
- Gain supervised professional experience in facility organization and environmental stewardship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program for turf management or agronomy.
- Understanding of the agronomic elements of golf course maintenance.
- Knowledge of personnel and financial management concepts.
- Familiarity with pesticide application techniques and relevant laws.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with members and guests.
