About the role#
TPC Las Vegas is seeking transitioning service members for a DoD Skillbridge Military Internship focused on golf course maintenance. This role provides hands-on experience in maintaining a premier PGA TOUR property, involving daily groundskeeping tasks and the operation of specialized machinery.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine golf course maintenance activities as directed by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations or Assistant Golf Course Superintendents.
- Follow established guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for all assigned tasks.
- Complete training procedures for each task before performing it independently.
- Execute groundskeeping duties including line trimming, edging cart paths and bunkers, ball mark repair, divot filling, sod laying, and operating utility vehicles or blowers.
- Maintain logs for the operation, maintenance, and gas usage of all machinery.
- Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
- Clean machinery after use and report any mechanical deficiencies to the Equipment Technician.
- Use required personal protective clothing and equipment to comply with safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Must be a transitioning service member.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to operate golf course machinery.
- Physical ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds or more, including items with awkward weights.
- Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Visual capabilities including close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
