DoD Skillbridge Military Intern (Golf Course Maintenance)

About the role#

TPC Las Vegas is seeking transitioning service members to join the team as a DoD Skillbridge Military Intern. This role supports the golf course maintenance operations team in maintaining the grounds of this premier PGA TOUR property. This is a full-time, on-site internship.

What you'll do#

• Perform routine golf course maintenance activities under the direction of the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations or Assistant Golf Course Superintendents.
• Follow established guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for all assigned tasks.
• Complete training procedures for each task before performing the work.
• Operate machinery including utility vehicles, blowers, and walk top dress equipment.
• Maintain logs for the operation, maintenance, and gas usage of all machinery.
• Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as line trimming, edging cart paths and bunkers, ball mark repair, divot filling, and sod laying.
• Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
• Clean machinery after use and report any equipment deficiencies to the Equipment Technician.
• Wear required personal protective equipment to comply with safety standards.

What you'll need#

• Must be a transitioning service member.
• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to operate golf course machinery.
• Capability to perform active physical work, including lifting, pushing, or pulling 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
