About the role#
TPC Las Vegas is seeking transitioning service members to join the team as a DoD Skillbridge Military Intern. This role supports the golf course maintenance operations team in maintaining the grounds of this premier PGA TOUR property. This is a full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine golf course maintenance activities under the direction of the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations or Assistant Golf Course Superintendents.
- Follow established guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for all assigned tasks.
- Complete training procedures for each task before performing the work.
- Operate machinery including utility vehicles, blowers, and walk top dress equipment.
- Maintain logs for the operation, maintenance, and gas usage of all machinery.
- Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as line trimming, edging cart paths and bunkers, ball mark repair, divot filling, and sod laying.
- Keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
- Clean machinery after use and report any equipment deficiencies to the Equipment Technician.
- Wear required personal protective equipment to comply with safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Must be a transitioning service member.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to operate golf course machinery.
- Capability to perform active physical work, including lifting, pushing, or pulling 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
