About the role#
This is a DoD Skillbridge Military Internship focused on golf course maintenance at TPC San Antonio. The role is a full-time, on-site position. Interns will gain hands-on experience in grounds maintenance and equipment operation while working under the direction of the golf course maintenance leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Maintain logs for machine operation, maintenance, and gas usage.
- Clean machinery after each use and inspect equipment for deficiencies.
- Report equipment issues to the Equipment Technician.
- Perform daily tasks to keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
- Execute routine golf course maintenance activities, including line trimming, edging, ball mark repair, divot filling, sod laying, and bunker raking.
- Operate utility vehicles, blowers, walk top dress equipment, and backhoes.
- Follow established safety protocols, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
- Complete training procedures for each task before beginning work.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to operate golf course machinery.
- Physical ability to lift, pull, or push up to or over 50 pounds.
- Capacity to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Strong vision abilities, including depth perception, color vision, and distance vision.

- Location: San Antonio, Texas.
- Schedule: Shifts are assigned based on business levels.
- Travel: Not required for this position.
