About the role#
TPC Summerlin is looking for transitioning service members to join our team through the DoD Skillbridge program. This internship focuses on golf course maintenance operations. You will work on-site at our facility in Las Vegas to support the upkeep of our grounds. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine maintenance activities as directed by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations or Assistant Golf Course Superintendents.
- Complete training procedures for every task before you begin the work.
- Follow all guidelines outlined in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual.
- Maintain accurate logs for machine operation, maintenance, and gas usage.
- Keep the maintenance facility clean, safe, and organized.
- Clean machinery after each use and report any mechanical issues to the equipment team.
- Use required personal protective equipment to meet safety standards.
- Perform specific grounds tasks such as edging cart paths, filling divots, laying sod, and operating utility vehicles or blowers.
What you'll need#
- You must be a transitioning service member to qualify for this program.
- A high school diploma or equivalent education.
- A valid drivers license.
- The ability to understand and follow directions.
- Comfort operating golf course machinery.
- Physical ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds or more, including items with awkward weights.
- Capacity to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
