About the role#
We are looking for a Golf Shop Summer Intern to join our team at TPC Boston. This role works alongside Assistant Golf Professionals to support our members and guests. You will play a key part in our retail operations and help ensure that every visitor has a positive experience at our club.
What you'll do#
- Welcome members and guests and assist with their golfing needs.
- Manage golf reservations by answering phones, recording bookings in our online system, and verifying upcoming appointments.
- Handle financial transactions, including collecting fees, processing credit cards, and managing cash.
- Operate the point of sale system and assist with physical inventory counts.
- Maintain the golf shop by cleaning, organizing displays, and keeping inventory at stock levels.
- Sell merchandise by learning our product lines and recommending items to guests.
- Communicate updates to staff across the course using radio equipment.
- Inform guests about course conditions and handle special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of experience in customer service or a similar retail environment.
- Familiarity with general business and retail sales practices.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
Location & details#
- This internship is located in Norton, Massachusetts.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
- This is a paid, part-time, on-site position.
