About the role#
TPC Las Vegas is seeking a DoD Skillbridge Military Intern to join the culinary operations team. This internship provides an opportunity to work directly with executive chefs and kitchen leadership in a professional, high-volume environment. This position is open to transitioning service members only.
What you'll do#
- Maintain high standards for food production to ensure member and guest satisfaction.
- Execute cooking procedures as assigned, including breading, thawing, proofing, baking, and preparing meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables for roasting and grilling.
- Perform food preparation techniques such as slicing, dicing, mincing, and chopping using knives and mechanical equipment.
- Prepare banquet platters, trays, and plated foods according to event orders.
- Ensure all kitchen, storage, and dumpster areas remain clean and sanitary at all times.
- Maintain organization of storage areas and verify that all provisions are stored according to sanitation standards.
- Manage food production timing to meet specific ticket time goals for lunch and dinner service.
- Assist with waste removal and maintain cleanliness of cooking equipment throughout the shift.
What you'll need#
- Must be a transitioning service member.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- At least 6 months of experience in food preparation, kitchen maintenance, or culinary trades training.
- Basic knowledge of safe food handling procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to comply with all federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.
