About the role#
This internship focuses on software design and data analytics within the Energy and Infrastructure Solutions department. You will work on information technology projects that support business data solutions and help meet specific client needs. This is an unpaid position based on-site in Roanoke, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and deploy artificial intelligence and machine learning systems to address business challenges.
- Gather information from authorized sources to determine project requirements.
- Verify the accuracy, quality, and integrity of data sourced from company systems.
- Create and document software modules to meet functionality targets.
- Develop dashboards based on business requirements.
- Provide technical consulting to users regarding applications and development.
- Identify key trends and patterns through data analysis and report findings to management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics.
- A high school diploma.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Working knowledge of Oracle data analytics tools.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 5% of the time.
