About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Houston, Texas, supporting our Energy and Infrastructure Solutions team. This role involves direct participation in software and hardware design for industrial control solutions.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support for software design and control solutions.
- Create and document software modules to meet project requirements.
- Develop algorithms and transfer functions for industrial machinery, such as metal rolling mills.
- Produce mechanical panel layout drawings.
- Create electrical drawings that reflect project circuits, including power distribution and sensor interfaces.
- Conduct simulations to verify that software and HMI designs meet project specifications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Coursework focusing on control automation.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively with others in educational or professional settings.
- Availability to travel domestically up to 5% of the time.
