About the role#
This internship provides an inside look at the work of a financial advisor. You will gain experience through training, shadowing, and hands-on projects. The role focuses on practical skills like case analysis, marketing, and industry-specific software. You will work directly with seasoned advisors and participate in community-focused generosity programs.
What you'll do#
- Complete an orientation and training program.
- Shadow financial advisors during client meetings, workshops, and daily operations.
- Prepare financial plans and analyses.
- Use financial planning software such as MoneyGuidePro and Morningstar.
- Attend team meetings to discuss weekly activities and industry trends.
- Observe regional seminars and join virtual sessions with corporate employees.
- Develop a strategy to integrate generosity programs.
- Research and present a project in collaboration with other interns.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a college junior or senior.
- Enrollment in a degree program for business, finance, marketing, or a related field.
- Technical computer aptitude with proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and oral communication abilities.

- The role is on-site.
- This is a part-time, paid internship.
- Internships may be eligible for course credit if coordinated with your school administration.
