About the role#
This internship runs from January through June 2027. You will join the team at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts to support various engineering projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Assist project engineers across civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical disciplines.
- Handle drafting, on-site as-built documentation, and design coordination with outside consultants.
- Perform field data collection and light design or production work.
- Support construction administration, commissioning, and closeout documentation.
- Help resolve project or resort engineering issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior, senior, or graduate student in electrical engineering or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter who handles multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Availability to work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, or holidays based on project needs.
- Ability to work under deadlines and provide support on short notice.
- Unrestricted work authorization and at least 18 years of age.
Location & details#
- Location: Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January - June).
- Pay: $31 per hour for undergraduate students and $36 per hour for graduate students.
- Work schedule: Up to 40 hours per week, primarily during traditional business hours with occasional flexibility required.
