About the role#
This internship offers a chance to work across various engineering teams at Walt Disney World Resort. You will support projects related to attractions, facilities, and global safety standards. The program runs from January to June 2027. You will be placed in teams such as Quality Engineering, Safety & Assurance, Engineering Services, or Facility Asset Management.
What you'll do#
- Provide strategic and project support for new and existing attractions and facilities.
- Develop global design and safety standards.
- Design and supervise the fabrication and testing of ride vehicles.
- Provide software services for ride and show control systems.
- Deliver maintenance and repair services for operating and support teams.
- Manage construction projects and long-term facility planning.
- Maintain buildings, rides, buses, and watercraft to keep the property show ready.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Post Graduate degree in an Engineering field, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Industrial, Chemical, or Architecture.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Computer Science majors must have experience with Java, Python, or C++.
- Ability to work various shifts, including occasional weekends, holidays, early mornings, or late nights.
- Unrestricted work authorization.
