About the role#
As an Architecture Intern with Walt Disney World, you will support the Facility Asset Management team in researching, creating, and documenting the built environments across the property. This internship provides hands-on experience across various design phases. You will work alongside licensed architects and gain exposure to multidisciplinary collaboration, regulatory requirements, and the design culture at Disney. Supervision for NCARB experience hours is included.
What you'll do#
- Gather and organize project documentation, including historical records, photos, and field notes.
- Support the preparation of architectural drawings and models.
- Participate in on-site visits to verify existing conditions and update base information.
- Assist with project file management, log updates, and the preparation of close-out materials.
- Attend design reviews to observe workflows and participate in team discussions.
- Manage tasks and deadlines while communicating project status to your leader.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program in Architecture.
- Status as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student by the arrival date.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- A portfolio highlighting your studio work, collaboration, and graphic skills.
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or holiday shifts.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
- The position is full-time and on-site.
- Pay is $31 per hour for undergraduate students and $36 per hour for graduate students.
- You must possess unrestricted work authorization and be at least 18 years of age.
