About the role#
Walt Disney Imagineering is the creative force behind Disney theme parks, resorts, and attractions. This internship role focuses on the Show Set Design department, which turns concepts for immersive environments into reality. You will work with project teams to design and coordinate the details that maintain the creative intent of a show through bidding, construction, and installation. This is a full-time, paid position based in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support the development, coordination, and communication of production design concepts.
- Create documents, including drawings and digital models, that express design intent.
- Coordinate show disciplines such as ride systems, animated figures, special effects, and audio equipment.
- Research applicable materials and construction techniques.
- Support mock-ups and presentations, including set-up and strike.
- Assist in the maintenance and creation of show lists.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Architecture or Industrial Design.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D computer-aided design, specifically Rhino and Revit.
- Ability to read drawing packages and interpret contract documents.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
