About the role#
Walt Disney Imagineering designs and builds the attractions, resorts, and theme parks for the company. This internship focuses on the show control hardware team. You will contribute to the technical processes that bring attraction elements to life. The internship runs from January 2027 through June 2027.
What you'll do#
You will work directly with the team responsible for attraction show systems. Your primary tasks include:
- Preparing basic engineering designs and calculations under the supervision of senior staff.
- Providing general engineering support to Lead Engineers.
- Engaging in technical processes to create immersive guest experiences.
What you'll need#
- Hands-on experience with industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with PLCs and control hardware design systems.
- A strong interest in working within a test and adjust construction environment.
- Ability to function effectively as a member of a technical team.
- Junior status or higher at an accredited college or university, majoring in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Civil, or Software Engineering.
- Proficiency with MS Office products and a valid driver license.
- Preferred skills include experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, MatLab, or UML.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Celebration, Florida.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess unrestricted work authorization.
- You must be enrolled in an accredited college or university at the time of application.
