About the role#
This internship places you within the Ride Engineering Studio at Walt Disney Imagineering. You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on the development, prototyping, simulation, and testing of ride control systems. The internship runs from January 2027 through June 2027. You will be paired with a mentor to support your work on specific attraction or development projects.
What you'll do#
- Design, model, and analyze electrical, electronic, and data communication systems.
- Participate in the development of ride control systems for Disney attractions.
- Work alongside both Controls and Mechanical departments to support ride development.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
What you'll need#
- You must be a Junior currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Eligible majors include Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- Ability to understand and implement basic control system design.
- Experience with programmable controllers used in machine control and robotic applications.
- Ability to conduct electrical or electronic design and calculations.
- Ability to prepare technical documents and CAD drawings.
- You must be at least 18 years old and possess unrestricted work authorization.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
- This is a full-time, on-site internship.
- You must be fully available for the duration of the program.
- You are responsible for providing your own reliable transportation to and from work.
