About the role#
Valence Surface Technologies is looking for interns to join our team in Lynwood, California. This role provides hands-on experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment. You will work on production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing operations while receiving mentorship from our staff.
What you'll do#
- Review and interpret customer specifications, engineering drawings, models, and purchase orders.
- Verify customer purchase orders and processing requirements to ensure accurate manufacturing planning.
- Assist in developing detailed work instructions for the production of complex machined components.
- Use our MRP system to maintain planning data, generate work orders, and support production documentation.
- Provide technical and administrative support to manufacturing teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and follow safety policies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or interested in coursework in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or data visualization tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and wear required PPE.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.
