About the role#
Workforce Management provides the tools, systems, and processes to manage labor strategies for Walt Disney World. The Transformation, Analytics, and Strategy team acts as the analytical engine for this group. You will use data analysis and critical thinking to improve staffing and workload processes. This role focuses on applying industrial engineering and data science principles to support labor planning and operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Apply technical skills, statistics, and analytics to support forecasting and planning for labor across Walt Disney World.
- Analyze and model labor data using various mathematical and statistical approaches.
- Develop analyses and models to assess labor needs and measure the effectiveness of forecasting and planning.
- Conduct time studies to inform labor standards.
- Build visuals and dashboards to create actionable insights.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to partner effectively with team members and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to learn new software applications quickly.
- Ability to take initiative and lead projects independently.
- Creativity to approach problems in new ways.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
Location & details#
- Location: Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
- Term: Full-time internship from January 2027 through June or August 2027.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $31.00 per hour.
- Requirements: You must provide your own housing and reliable transportation, including a vehicle for travel across the property.
