About the role#
This is a part-time internship at WABC-TV in New York. You will join the digital team for a six-month term running from January 2027 through June 2027. The role requires a 24-hour weekly commitment, with a schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
What you'll do#
- Participate in newsroom operations.
- Assist the digital team in producing news stories.
- Create original video content.
- Engage with the audience across various social media platforms.
What you'll need#
- Previous experience in journalism, television, news, or new media production.
- Proficiency with non-linear video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, AVID, or Final Cut Pro.
- Experience with photography or videography using DSLR or similar cameras.
- Skills in graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Photoshop.
- Enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an accredited college or university, or current participation in a Disney internship program.
- Ability to provide your own housing and transportation in the New York area.
- A portfolio is required for consideration. Please include a link to your work on your résumé.
