About the role#
This internship supports the digital team at KABC-TV (ABC7) in Glendale, California. You will work directly with the ABC7 en Español team to help manage news coverage and digital content. The program runs from January 2027 through early June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Translate news reports from English to Spanish for websites, apps, and social media.
- Coordinate with the newsroom to align on-air and online coverage for Spanish-speaking audiences.
- Publish content across various digital and social platforms.
- Design social media assets using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere.
What you'll need#
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to translate, write, and publish in both languages.
- Knowledge of AP Style.
- Experience posting content to social media platforms.
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
- Junior or Senior standing in a Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies program.
- Previous experience in digital media or journalism, including coursework in producing, writing, or editing.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site role based in Glendale, California.
- You must be available to work 40 hours per week, including potential nights and weekends.
- This position is paid at $18.47 per hour.
- You must provide your own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
