About the role#
The Big Ten Network Internship Program provides an opportunity to gain practical experience at a major sports media company. You will work on real-world projects and develop professional skills through master classes, networking events, and a professional development series.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Digital Content, Digital Partnerships, Streaming, and Video Operations teams.
- Support content strategy and social media distribution.
- Assist with video archives and digital research.
- Help manage customer relationship tasks.
What you'll need#
- You must be an undergraduate or graduate student (sophomore standing or higher) at an accredited college or university.
- Strong academic record.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Big Ten Network programming, talent, and the sports media industry.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational skills and a self-starter attitude.
- Relevant technical or software skills for your placement area.
Location & details#
- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Modality: This is an on-site role. You must provide your own housing and transportation.
- Term: February 8, 2027, to April 16, 2027.
- Commitment: 16 to 24 hours per week.
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
- Eligibility: You must be available for the entire duration of the program.
