About the role#
The Environmental Sustainability team sets the strategy and plans projects to reach environmental goals regarding emissions, water, waste, materials, and sustainable design. As an intern, you will work with partners across Walt Disney World and the global Disney Experiences segment to provide data-driven insights. You will report to the Manager of Data and Analytics.
What you'll do#
- Collect and validate data across Walt Disney World and global sites.
- Analyze historic data and forecast trends for emissions, water, waste, and materials.
- Develop measurement methodologies, metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track operational performance.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support for environmental projects, including waste studies and pilots.
- Perform field work, which includes walking onstage and backstage, handling materials in various weather conditions, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university as a junior or senior.
- Coursework in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proficiency in SQL and Power BI for data entry, validation, and building queries.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate analysis clearly in writing and verbally.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A valid U.S. driver’s license and access to reliable personal transportation.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 6-month internship located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
- The term runs from January 2027 through June 2027.
- You must be available 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- This position is on-site and requires compliance with Disney Look appearance guidelines.
