About the role#
We are looking for an Environmental Engineering Co-op or Intern to support our mill operations. This is a paid, full-time position that offers hands-on experience in environmental compliance and engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Collect, analyze, and manage environmental samples from wastewater, stormwater, and mill process areas.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and update or create standard operating procedures.
- Manage environmental records and documentation systems, including emissions data and compliance reports.
- Participate in projects related to wastewater treatment, landfill operations, and residuals management.
- Use environmental and production data to identify trends.
- Collaborate with engineers and mill personnel to support safe and compliant operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering degree program.
- Completion of at least your freshman year by the start of the role.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Permanent U.S. residency and a valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: Membership in the paper foundation at your university.

- This role is based in Counce, Tennessee.
- The position is on-site and full-time.
- We offer a rolling internship term.
- Compensation is $25 to $30 per hour.
