About the role#
Sachse Construction is hiring interns for the summer of 2027. This is a paid, full-time position where you work five days a week. You may be placed in our downtown Detroit office to work with Project Managers and Estimators, or you may work in the field as an Assistant Superintendent.
What you'll do#
Your responsibilities will cover several areas of project support:
- Change Management: You will input potential cost items, prepare change orders, process invoices, and update committed cost reports.
- Document Control: You will manage submittals, shop drawings, and Requests for Information. You will also maintain project documentation and record minutes during jobsite meetings.
- Procurement: You will assist the project team in establishing committed cost reports and setting up submittal registers.
- Field Operations: You will help enforce corporate safety policies on the jobsite and track the receipt of samples and shop drawings.
What you'll need#
You must be currently enrolled in a course of study for Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
