About the role#
The Engineering Co-op program offers students a chance to gain hands-on experience within the utility industry. You will work with different groups within your department to build a diverse skill set and explore potential career paths for full-time placement after graduation. This is a full-time, 16-week position running from August 2026 through December 2026.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with various work groups to gain exposure to different engineering functions.
- Assist with grid planning and sectionalization tasks.
- Complete designs for equipment installation and replacement.
- Work alongside staff engineers to maintain equipment and oversee system operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- A cumulative college GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- You must not be graduating prior to December 2026.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 16-week term.
