About the role#
The Costume Buying department sources and orders fabrics, notions, and garments for operational and character costumes. As an intern, you will report to the Costume Buying Area Manager to help manage vendor partnerships, oversee production timelines, and track deliveries. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Orlando, Florida, running from January 2027 to June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Research and source garments, accessories, fabrics, trims, and notions for costumes.
- Create detailed photo documentation for specific commodities.
- Process orders and monitor delivery dates using SAP.
- Manage warehouse inventory and complete withdrawal transactions.
- Attend local vendor visits and industry tradeshows.
- Build garment bid packages for specific commodities.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status in a degree program such as Merchandising, Textiles, or Theater Stage Management.
- Understanding of fabrics, garment construction, international shipping, and global sourcing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience or familiarity with SAP, Yunique PLM, and SharePoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- A valid US driver license and the ability to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be at least 18 years old with unrestricted work authorization.
- Ability to maintain a consistent, reliable work schedule and adhere to The Disney Look appearance guidelines.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January to June).
- Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
