Are you passionate about fabric/garment construction, as well as textile sustainability? If so, replenishing and procuring fabrics/garments in this role is right for you. If selected as a Costume Buying intern, you will report to the Costume Buying Area Manager.The approximate date of this internship is January 2027 to June 2027, located in Orlando, FL.What You Will DoAs Buyers, we partner with vendors to manage timelines, oversee production, and track deliveries. In this internship, duties include collaborating with the procurement team to source, develop, and acquire fabrics/garments for our cast members. Additionally, you will:Research/source garments, accessories, fabrics, trims, and notions for operational, entertainment, and character costumes, ensuring detailed commodity-specific photo documentationProcess orders and supervise delivery dates using SAP for fabrics, trims, notions, and garmentsBe responsible for warehouse inventory and complete withdrawal transactions as neededParticipate in local vendor visits, and local industry tradeshows, and build garment bid packages for specific commoditiesRequired Qualifications & SkillsSolid understanding of fabrics/garments and their relation to design and construction techniquesAn understanding of international shipping processes and global sourcingWillingness to learn new programsConfirmed planning and organizational skills with attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work well with cross-functional teams and vendorsPreferred Qualifications & SkillsExperienced in the Textiles and/or Apparel industryComputer proficiency in programs such as SAP, Yunique PLM, SharePoint, and Microsoft Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and WordEducationCurrently enrolled as a Junior or Senior earning a degree in Merchandising, Textiles, Theater Stage Management, or a related field Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below:Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.Be at least 18 years of agePossess unrestricted work authorizationPossess a valid US driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicleHave not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College ProgramAble to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internshipAdditional Information Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelinesAble to provide reliable transportation to/from work Must be fully available for the duration of the internship We provide limited housing opportunities for Florida-based Interns through American Campus Communities.
