About the role#
The Pauli Murray Fellowship is an 18-month, full-time position within the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) team. This program supports individuals who have overcome systemic barriers to achievement and are looking to enter the non-profit sector. Fellows work on internal initiatives and projects, receiving training and exposure to help build professional skills. The fellowship begins in mid-January 2027 and concludes in July 2028.
What you'll do#
- Provide event support for heritage months, employee resource groups, and community hours.
- Manage event communications, including drafting language and creating flyers.
- Ensure events and materials are accessible, including coordinating live captioning or ASL interpretation.
- Support technical needs for virtual meetings on platforms like Zoom or Teams.
- Track EDIB data and assist in the creation of quarterly and annual reports.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to measure results.
- Manage project aspects for EDIB trainings, initiatives, and community building circles.
What you'll need#
- College graduation by September 2026 and a desire for an entry-level role.
- Eligibility to work in the United States from January 2027 through July 2028.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
- Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.
- Ability to design and edit graphic presentations at an intermediate level.
- Direct experience with restorative practices and community building circles.
- Demonstrated commitment to leadership, service, civil rights, and social justice.
- Knowledge of best practices regarding equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Location & details#
- This role is based in New York, New York.
- The position is hybrid, requiring in-office attendance two days per week or eight days per month.
