About the role#
As a Store Planning Intern at the Disneyland Resort, you will connect Operations teams with Merchandise teams. You will help devise strategies and manage product flow to ensure each shop tells a unique story. The goal is to help guests recreate their park experiences at home through the products they purchase.
What you'll do#
- Analyze business reports and key performance indicators to improve sales and guest experiences.
- Provide strategic feedback to Merchandise Strategy and Merchandise Planning teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with Operations teams to implement merchandise plans.
- Collaborate with Product Strategy and Visual Presentation teams to adapt offerings for seasonal events and quarterly updates.
- Review upcoming product strategies, select items for specific shops, and create floor plans and product flow calendars.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university, with senior year preferred.
- Majors in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Genuine passion for retail and merchandise.
- Knowledge of merchandise planning, financials, forecasting, and trend analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
- Ability to create and present PowerPoint decks.
- Strong partnership, coaching, and leadership abilities.
- Proven experience setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Retail experience and knowledge of retail math are preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old with unrestricted work authorization.
- Ability to comply with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Anaheim, California.
- The term runs from January 11, 2027, to June 4, 2027.
- The pay rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.
- Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
