About the role#
Academic Technologies is looking for students to provide technical support and training for AV equipment in classrooms across campus. You will assist faculty, staff, and students with technology needs through walk-in requests, phone calls, and our ticketing system. This role involves both independent problem solving and collaborative work within a team.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support and training for classroom AV technology.
- Perform routine maintenance and testing of classroom equipment.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues, including triaging tickets.
- Respond to immediate requests from walk-ins and phone calls.
- Manage inventory, repairs, installations, and training during intersessions.
- Handle basic clerical and administrative tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree-seeking program at UNM, at least half-time (6 hours) for fall and spring semesters.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
- Experience with troubleshooting and collaborative problem solving.
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
