Intern, Membership & Industry Relations (Washington D.C. Chapter)

About the role#

The Recording Academy Washington D.C. Chapter is offering a paid internship for the Fall 2026 semester. This program provides students with hands-on training in office administration, event management, and artist relations. Interns will gain exposure to professional recording industry practices while supporting the chapter's mission to honor achievements in the recording arts.

What you'll do#

• Assist with the management of local chapter events, which may include work during business hours, evenings, and weekends.
• Support the execution of educational programs.
• Manage membership recruitment efforts and maintain chapter databases.
• Provide general administrative support to the office.
• Assist with tasks such as newsletter production and demographic analysis.

What you'll need#

• Must be a junior, senior, or graduate student currently enrolled in a college or university.
• Preferred one year of coursework toward a degree in Business Administration, Communications, Media Studies, Psychology, Marketing, Human Resources, Public Health, or Sociology.
• Ability to provide a letter from your school confirming eligibility for college credit.
• Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
• Proficient computer skills and a commitment to a career in the recording industry.
• Ability to lift or move up to 60 pounds and work at a computer for extended periods.

• Location: Washington D.C. (Remote)
• Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – December 11, 2026)
• Schedule: Part-time, 20-24 hours per week
• Compensation: Paid at county/state minimum wage rates based on work location
