Intern, Membership Accounts

About the role#

The Recording Academy is seeking an intern for the Membership Accounts team for the Fall 2026 semester. This program offers students the opportunity to gain professional experience in the recording industry through training in office administration, events management, and artist relations. This is a paid internship requiring 20-24 hours per week.

What you'll do#

• Support the membership outreach team in executing membership recruitment strategies.
• Conduct research across various music genres to identify prospective members.
• Manage databases and perform general administrative support tasks.
• Handle data entry and professional correspondence.
• Gain in-depth exposure to the professional recording industry.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college or university as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
• At least one year of coursework toward a degree in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Media Studies, Sociology, Psychology, Human Resources, Art, or a related field.
• A letter from your school confirming eligibility for college credit for this internship.
• A demonstrated interest in music and a commitment to pursuing a career in the recording industry.
• Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills with proficient computer abilities.
• Experience with Salesforce is considered a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting or moving up to 60 pounds.

• Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – December 11, 2026).
• Location: Santa Monica, California, and remote options available.
• Compensation: Paid at local minimum wage rates based on work location.
