The Recording Academy is seeking a student for a Fall 2026 internship with the Advocacy & Public Policy team. This paid, full-time program provides on-site training in office administration, advocacy, and public policy. Interns are expected to work 20-24 hours per week for a 12-week duration. Please note that this role requires a personal laptop.
What you'll do#
- Assist with grassroots advocacy initiatives.
- Conduct outreach to congressional offices.
- Perform legislative research.
- Manage databases and provide administrative office support.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program (sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate level).
- One year of coursework in a related field is preferred, including majors such as Political Science, Public Health, Communications, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, Media Studies, or History.
- A letter from your school confirming you will receive college credit for the internship.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Proficient computer and social media skills.
- A demonstrated interest in music, government, and advocacy work.
- Ability to lift or move up to 60 pounds and work at a computer for long periods.

- Location: Washington D.C.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – December 11, 2026).
- Modality: Hybrid (remote and in-office).
