About the role#
The Recording Academy is seeking a Social Media Marketing Intern for the Fall 2026 semester. This paid, part-time internship offers students hands-on experience in community management, marketing strategy, and digital content creation. Interns will contribute to the Academy’s mission of serving the music community while gaining exposure to marquee events and industry activations. This role requires 20-24 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning and executing marketing initiatives, campaigns, and event activations.
- Monitor and engage with online communities across social platforms to ensure alignment with brand values.
- Track and report key performance metrics to provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and create digital content, with a focus on trends for platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
- Provide logistical support for marketing and social media activations during events, including GRAMMY Week.
- Edit, proofread, and optimize content for consistency and quality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program (sophomore, junior, or senior status).
- Coursework or experience in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their best practices, particularly TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Basic skills in graphic design and video editing software.
- Ability to provide a letter from your school confirming eligibility for college credit.
- Access to a personal laptop for remote work.
