About the role#
The Recording Academy is seeking an intern for the Membership & Industry Relations team for the Fall 2026 term. This program provides in-depth exposure to professional recording industry techniques and practices. The role is a paid, on-site position based in Santa Monica, California, and requires a commitment of 20 to 24 hours per week between September 8, 2026, and December 11, 2026.
What you'll do#
Interns work with the chapter office to support local events, which may include evenings and weekends. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with event management and educational programs.
- Supporting membership recruitment and newsletter production.
- Performing database management and demographics analysis.
- Providing general administrative office support.
- Lifting and moving items up to 60 pounds as needed.
What you'll need#
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university as a junior, senior, or graduate student. Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, Media Studies, or Marketing. Additional requirements include:
- A letter from your school confirming that you will receive college credit for the internship.
- At least one year of course work in a related field.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- A demonstrated interest in a career within the recording industry.
