About the role#
Applied Materials is seeking a Supply Chain Materials Project Manager Intern for the summer of 2027. This 12-week internship places you within the Global Supply Chain group. You will support Supplier Account Managers and Procurement/Materials Managers to ensure the efficient delivery of materials while meeting cost and quality targets.
What you'll do#
- Complete supplier request for quotations (RFQs).
- Prepare supplier profiles for management presentations.
- Manage purchase orders by creating, rescheduling, and cancelling them according to MRP requirements.
- Perform MRP and spend analytics to optimize business practices.
- Negotiate with suppliers to mitigate excess inventory and purchase orders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Master's degree program for Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with multiple data sets.
- Ability to solve problems through creative and analytical thinking.
