    About the role#

    The Recording Academy Memphis Chapter is seeking a student intern for the Fall 2026 semester. This paid internship offers exposure to professional recording industry practices, including office administration, event management, and artist relations. The role is part-time, requiring 20-24 hours per week for a 12-week duration.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist the chapter office with local events, which may include some evenings and weekends.
    • Support educational programs and the development of newsletters.
    • Contribute to membership recruitment and database management.
    • Provide administrative office support.
    • Assist with demographics analysis and event management tasks.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a college or university as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
    • One year of course work towards a degree in a related field, such as Business Administration, Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Art, Human Resources, Psychology, or Sociology.
    • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
    • Proficient computer skills.
    • A letter from your school confirming you will receive college credit for this internship.
    • Ability to lift or move up to 60 pounds and work at a computer for long periods.

    • Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – December 11, 2026).
    • Location: Remote, based in Memphis, Tennessee.
    • Compensation: Paid at county/state minimum wage rates based on work location.

    About The Recording Academy

    The Recording Academy is a nonprofit organization established in 1957 and headquartered in Santa Monica, California. With a staff of 51 to 200 employees, the group serves performers, songwriters, producers, and engineers across the music industry. The organization manages the GRAMMY Awards, oversees the GRAMMY Museum, and operates the MusiCares support program for music professionals. Its activities focus on advocating for creator rights and preserving recording arts as cultural heritage.
