Intern, Membership & Industry Relations (New York Chapter)

About the role#

The Recording Academy New York Chapter is offering a paid internship for the Fall 2026 semester. This program provides full-time college students with on-site training in office administration, events management, and artist relations. Interns gain exposure to professional recording industry practices while supporting the chapter's mission to honor achievements in the recording arts.

What you'll do#

Interns work 20-24 hours per week for a 12-week duration. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with event management for local chapter events, including support during some evenings and weekends.
• Contributing to educational programs and newsletters.
• Supporting membership recruitment efforts.
• Conducting database management and demographic analysis.
• Providing general administrative office support.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college or university as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
• Preferred completion of at least one year of course work in a related field such as Business Administration, Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Psychology, Public Health, Graphic Design, or Art.
• A letter from your school confirming eligibility for college credit.
• A demonstrated interest in music and a commitment to a career in the recording industry.
• Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills, along with proficient computer skills.
• Ability to lift or move up to 60 pounds and work at a computer for extended periods.
