About the role#
The Recording Academy is seeking a student intern for the Fall 2026 semester to join the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team. This paid, part-time internship offers an opportunity to gain experience in communication strategies, event coordination, and administrative support within the music industry. The role requires a commitment of 20 to 24 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on national and Chapter-specific marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Develop and execute communication strategies to raise awareness of DEI initiatives, including drafting content for newsletters and emails.
- Organize and coordinate events, workshops, and discussions related to DEI, both internally and externally.
- Attend meetings and workshops to take accurate notes, track progress, and summarize action items for stakeholders.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for ongoing DEI projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, with at least one year of coursework in a related field preferred.
- Academic standing as a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.
- A letter from your school confirming eligibility for college credit.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with computers and social media.
- An interest in music and a commitment to a career in the recording industry.
- Ability to provide your own laptop for remote work.

- Location: Remote (based in Santa Monica, California).
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8, 2026 – December 11, 2026).
- Compensation: Paid at county/state minimum wage rates.
