About the role#
The Information Technology Cybersecurity Engineering Co-Op/Intern role provides hands-on experience across multiple cybersecurity domains. This position is designed for students interested in protecting digital assets, understanding cyber threats, and contributing to a secure enterprise environment. This is a full-time, paid position running from January 11, 2027, to April 23, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate and test security tools and technologies.
- Assist in secure configuration reviews and vulnerability assessments.
- Contribute to cybersecurity controls, architecture diagrams, and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
- Analyze and report on third-party risk.
- Perform policy tuning and alert triage.
- Configure and monitor Microsoft Sentinel for security event correlation.
- Manage vulnerability assessments and scanning.
- Contribute to cloud security posture management and security automation workflows.
- Collaborate with personnel across the organization, including management, engineers, and contractors.
What you'll need#
- Junior level standing or above by January 2027.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Minimum GPA of 2.75.
- 1-2 years of experience through work, volunteering, or student organizations is preferred.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work full-time while maintaining student status.
- Successful completion of pre-placement screenings, including a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to perform physical requirements, such as lifting up to 25 lbs and climbing stairs.
