About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will apply computer science and engineering principles to develop software for tactical radio equipment. You will work alongside cross-functional engineering teams to design systems and evaluate performance requirements.
What you'll do#
- Develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to final testing.
- Create software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to conduct experimental tests and evaluate operating data.
- Join peer reviews to identify, track, and repair software defects.
- Work with languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Python, and SQL across various platforms including Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Palm Bay, Florida.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
