About the role#
As a Supply Chain Operations Co-Op or Intern, you will support the Supply Operations team by working alongside engineers and other professionals. This role provides hands-on experience with supply chain systems and tools while contributing to projects involving the bulk storage and handling of materials such as Anhydrous Ammonia, Molten Sulphur, and finished fertilizer products. You will gain exposure to inbound and outbound shipping activities in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
What you'll do#
- Support supply chain projects and process improvement initiatives across multiple teams and sites.
- Assist with business analysis, system evaluations, and SAP-related activities.
- Use supply chain tools to assist with inventory, logistics, and demand planning efforts.
- Participate in maintenance processes and asset assessments to support operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, and contractors.
- Attend team and project meetings to gain exposure to safety, logistics, and operations.
- Communicate with various personnel, including management, plant operators, engineers, and tradespersons.
What you'll need#
- Junior level standing or higher by January 2027.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 2.75 GPA.
- TWIC Card or the ability to obtain one.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license for travel between sites.
- Basic computer skills and experience working in a team environment.
- Ability to work full-time while maintaining student status.
- Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment, including occasional outdoor work with exposure to varying temperatures.
- Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 25 pounds and working at heights.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- Location: Tampa, Florida (based at Tampa Marine Terminal with travel to other Florida sites).
- Term: January 11, 2027, to April 23, 2027.
- Modality: On-site, full-time (36-40 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
- Requirements: Selected candidates must successfully complete a pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, and functional capacity examination.
