About the role#
The Training and Professional Development Intern joins the Human Resources and Organizational Development division. This role supports initiatives to organize departmental work and identify learning opportunities for staff. You will work on projects that streamline internal processes and contribute to the growth of an inclusive culture.
What you'll do#
- Create and update standard operating procedures for new staff orientation.
- Coordinate training sessions with external facilitators.
- Maintain the Learning Management System.
- Analyze annual training survey data and compile findings into reports.
- Build training materials for language learning and update Media Studies resources.
- Organize communication boards and information stations to promote training.
- Interview staff members to document job duties, competencies, and skill requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college sophomore, junior, or senior.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
- Comfort using technology for research.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to gather information from a diverse group of staff.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- The internship takes place during Winter 2027.
- This is a part-time role at approximately 15 hours per week.
- This position is paid.
