    About the role#

    The Lilly Theater Stage Management Intern supports the production team during the spring 2027 season. You will work alongside directors and the stage manager through the rehearsal process and help maintain the show once it opens. This is a part-time position requiring approximately 15 hours per week. Please note that the production schedule requires some evening and weekend availability.

    What you'll do#

    • Take notes during rehearsals for the stage manager.
    • Support the technical side by running sound and tech elements during rehearsals.
    • Set and reset the stage to keep rehearsals moving.
    • Help run the house and maintain the production once the show opens to the public.

    What you'll need#

    • You have completed between 0 and 2 years of college coursework.
    • A major or field of study in Theater Stage Management is preferred.
    • You have previous experience in stage management, including running shows and calling cues.
    • You are detail-oriented and work well as part of a team.
    • You are able to communicate effectively with the production team.
    • You can move throughout the theater spaces and sit or stand for extended periods during rehearsals and performances.
