About the role#
The Aerospace Corporation is hiring an undergraduate intern for the Reliability and Statistics Department. This role supports the Systems Engineering Division by performing statistical analysis and modeling for space systems. You will work on projects involving satellite constellation replenishment, failure data, and launch vehicle reliability.
What you'll do#
- Apply statistical techniques to derive insights from data related to space systems.
- Perform analysis on system availability and replenishment planning for satellite systems.
- Develop, evaluate, and update reliability models for satellite and launch vehicle systems.
- Provide technical advice to management, customers, and associate contractors.
- Document technical efforts and brief internal and external customers.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, statistics, reliability engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Fluency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as C++, Java, R, Python, or Matlab.
- Availability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks outside of the university term.
- Ability to return to a degree program full-time after the internship ends.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

- The role is 100% on-site.
- This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
