About the role#
This internship helps you develop as a technical expert while working with customer engineers and internal teams. You will learn how product characteristics relate to system-level requirements. The goal is to build your technical competency in product selection, implementation, and debug to prepare for a career as a Field Applications Engineer.
What you'll do#
- Use sales tools and relationships with design engineering to identify potential projects.
- Provide customers with proposals for system-level solutions that maximize TI content.
- Use technical expertise to influence the part selection process and position TI products against competition.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
- Understanding of schematics, layouts, and digital components.
- Knowledge of analog circuitry, such as op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, and sensing.
- Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, plus soldering and debugging skills.
- Programming skills in C/C++.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in teams and build influential relationships.
- Initiative and a drive for results.
