    About the role#

    As a Facilities Controls and Automation Engineering Intern, you will work on factory systems that support manufacturing operations. You will join a team of engineers, technicians, and operators to complete projects that improve plant safety, reliability, and energy efficiency. This role provides hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, field instrumentation, motor drives, and industrial networks.

    What you'll do#

    • Support factory controls and automation systems through hands-on project work.
    • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and chemical groups.
    • Improve automated control and remote monitoring for various facility systems.
    • Focus on projects related to cost reduction, energy efficiency, and process safety.
    • Solve technical problems and drive project results.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program for Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
    • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
    • A curious and teachable attitude.
    • Basic understanding of introductory programming, such as ladder logic or structured text.
    • Basic understanding of data acquisition, measurements, and instrumentation.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to manage time to meet project deadlines.
    • Ability to work well in teams and build professional relationships.
    • Initiative to drive for results in a changing environment.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Dallas, Texas.
    • This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
    • This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
